Review 1:Our building had to replace the roof in our condo and they decided to go with pritts roofing.
Everything started well till they started romoving a/c units from there place for the project.My a/c even though its 15 years old it was working perfect till the morning that pritts remove the unit to work under the unit and put it back and make sure is was left the same way it was found before it was removed. The unit as most a/c techs know when a unit is blowing air out air and the temperature is 59 to 60 degrees the air is working fine, i was home that day and notice the numbers on the thermostad were not matching, the unit was set to 74 but the thermostad was showing the temperture was 80 inside the apartment this means that something was wrong. So we called our office and informed them of the situation. 15 minutes later we received a call from the office and said that couldnt belive what pritts said that they were not responseble for any thing that was wrong with the a/c. As we know any roofinng company doing on a condo roof is responsible for any damage done to any a/c unit. So i decided to call Jeff sales manager from Pritts roofing, he came with a story that it was not their fault that i had to call total so they could fix what ever was broken. He used the excuse that the unit was old like thay have told everone with same issue. So total came and said that unit was empty with no freon so all freon was let out of the unit and they said that was not us we dint do anything. Then the association requested an emergency meeting with Pritts and told them you have to fix the cooper lines that you broke while tearing the roof out with a shipping hammer. So they said we will send a teck that works for them to check the lines. after checking the lines the teck said there ws no lea. Going by that information we told total all is ok for tuesdays intallation of our new unit. When total got there this morning thet tested the lines and found that they were leaking, so then we find out that the teck from pritts check the wrong unit either on porpose or to make us think all was fine they even included a pic for a preasure gage showing the right amount of preasure, but that was not the actual reading from our unit they were not telling the truth.
Now total has to charge us $1.500.00 dollars more to replace the broken lines we have no choice, we have been without air for 10 days now. please be carefull who you hire.
there are many other residents with worst issues like leaking ceilings and also were in a bind just like us. I hope this helps other condod to be carefull who they hire to replace their roof.I will go afetr Pritts with a lawyer that we hired and is filling a case in court, they will not get away with this.
